Moonlight Silhouette #1

The old tree in my backyard creates this natural frame, and one night the moon positioned itself perfectly within the branches. What fascinated me was the colour – the sky wasn't the expected silver-grey but instead glowed with pinks, lavenders, and warm yellows, like the moon was illuminating layers of atmosphere. I used watercolour to let those colours bleed and merge, keeping the tree itself dark and graphic against all that luminosity. Looking up through branches at the night sky never gets old – it's about finding windows within windows, nature composing its own pictures.
