Moonlight Silhouette #2

This time the foliage was so thick I had to search for glimpses of the moon through the leaves. The contrast struck me – those vibrant lime greens catching ambient light against the warm peachy glow of the moon itself, partially veiled by darker branches. With watercolour, I could build up layers of greens and let the moon emerge softly rather than compete with the surrounding vegetation. As a gardener, I know these plants intimately, but seeing them backlit by moonlight transforms them into something mysterious. It's a different kind of observation – not studying the plants themselves but how light moves through and around them.
