True Blue Moon #1

A blue moon doesn't actually look blue, but this night the sky was so intensely saturated it felt like the name finally made sense. I caught the moon with thick cloud cover creating this swirling halo effect – yellows, pinks, and greens mixing in the moisture around it, like light refracting through a prism. The branches cut across in bold silhouettes, some catching warm reflected light on their undersides. Watercolour let me play with those unexpected colours in the clouds without making them look artificial. The deep cobalt sky pushed everything forward. Sometimes the atmosphere does wild things with light that seem impossible until you're actually standing there watching it happen.
